The current smart factory in Telangana was recently recognised as an Advanced Lighthouse by the World Economic Forum.
It is an 180,000ft2 facility built on 10 acres and employs around 2,000 people, reported .
Schneider’s facilities in India serve domestic as well as international markets, with about 90% of its products sold in India.
The company expects 75% export volume capacity from the new facility to bolster its position as a export hub for international customers.
It has been operational in India for six decades and employs 35,000 people.
