has signed a contract, valued at approximately Skr300m ($27.40m), with the Exploitation Office of the City of Stockholm for site preparation work at Årstafältet, located south of Stockholm, Sweden.
The deal will be included in the fourth-quarter (Q4) order bookings for Skanska Sweden for 2024.
The project will focus on ground and utility work, including elements of landscaping.
The contract encompasses extensive soil reinforcement, complex new installations and relocations of utilities, as well as the construction of service roads.
The project is committed to environmental sustainability, planning to use 100% fossil-free fuels for all vehicles and machinery within the work area. This will also apply to the transportation of materials such as soil, rock, ballast, and asphalt to and from the site.
The work is scheduled to commence in March 2025 and is expected to reach completion during Q1 2028.
